Should I buy a USB3 host adapter?

I have a BFS-U3, and a desktop PC with usb3 ports; what are the possible reasons on why I would need to get a usb3 host adapter?

A user usually wouldn't need to do so. Most PC's today use intel-based usb3 host controllers, which we have tested to work well with our cameras. However, we have heard of some users getting issues when using our cameras with Asmedia based usb3 host controllers.
Purchasing a usb3 host controller would only be necessary if the user's PC does not already have usb3 ports, or that they need additional usb3 ports on their PC for multiple camera applications. Using a hub would share the bandwidth, so you would need 1 dedicated port per camera for full bandwidth.
