USB3 Hub causes my camera to not enumerate

In order to use multiple USB3 cameras, I purchased the usb3 hub you have listed, and I'm using the 5 meter usb3 cable you guys provide, but when I use them both together with my cameras, neither camera shows up anymore; what gives?

  USB3 cameras have a max passive cable length of 5 meters; by combining both the 5 meter cable (from camera to usb3 hub) and the usb3 hub cable going to the PC, this exceeds the max cable length.

  We would recommend replacing the 5 meter cable with a shorter, 3 or 1 meter cable; alternatively, if you need that cable length (or longer), we have an application note that goes over this, "Extending the working distance of USB3.1 cameras"; https://www.flir.ca/support-center/iis/machine-vision/application-note/extending-the-working-distance-of-usb-3.1-cameras/
