My camera runs hot
AnsweredAfter I stream from my BFS camera for a while, it gets pretty hot to the touch; is this normal?

Yes, the camera will run hot to the touch when left streaming, especially on a desk with no lenses. Thermal management is important, with a good metal lens and frame helping transfer the heat out of the camera.
The operating ambient temperature of the camera is rated at 50 degC, with the sensor/fpga temperature often running 10-15 degrees hotter than ambient. The heat is transferred to the case away from the sensor.
The camera may feel hot to the touch, but they are operating within temperature range. If you are worried, you can monitor the sensor or fpga temperature by reading the temperature node and ensuring it is less than 75 degC.
