Lumens Question
AnsweredHow many lumens do I need for my light source to get a decent image from my BFS camera? Is there any recommendations I can follow?

We do not have a general recommendation regarding lumens, or specific light values. Instead, we would recommend looking at different camera specifications depending upon your lighting conditions. Assuming you are guaranteed to shoot outdoors during daytime, then in general, users can use any of our cameras; likewise when using our cameras indoors, but are able to use custom lighting on the subject to provide additional lighting if necessary.
Now, under the assumption that you are using the cameras in a low light setting, where artificial lighting isn't necessary, then we would recommend choosing a camera that works well in low light settings, cameras that have low absolute sensitivity threshold, for example. Further details on this subject can be found in our application note on the subject, "How to evaluate camera sensitivity"; https://www.flir.ca/discover/iis/machine-vision/how-to-evaluate-camera-sensitivity/
