Yes, you can easily remove the IR-cut filter from color cameras (or the transparent AR glass from mono cameras) but removing the 2 screws on the retainer visible from looking into the lens barrel.
After removing the retainer, the glass should come out. You should also remove the neoprene gasket to avoid it from getting in the field of view.
Note that doing this exposes the sensor to damage and voids the warranty on the optical path (ie. any damage to the sensor). Warranty is still active for the rest of the camera, assuming the case has not been opened.
