Can your cameras be used in a vacuum? e.g. in space?

None of the Teledyne FLIR machine vision cameras are designed for or rated for space.

The cameras use commercial grade sensors and components but have successfully flown to space on the Mars Perseverance Rover.

The cameras do not use electrolytic capacitors, and there is a small air gap between the sensor glass and the imaging plane.

Thermal management should be considered when used in a vacuum, as the cameras use air flow over the case to keep cool.  Using a heat sink from the case and lens to a chassis is important for heat transfer when there is no air flow to remove the heat.
