Laser damage?

We have a BFS-U3-04S2M. Will the sensor take damage if we shine a laser on it? Do you have a damage threshold?

  Teledyne FLIR does not provide a damage threshold for the sensors of their machine vision cameras.  

  Lasers will damage the sensors over time.  Teledyne FLIR can replace the sensor via an RMA (https://www.flir.ca/contact/mv-service), however, the sensor replacement is at a different charge than a standard Out of Warranty RMA, depending on the cost of the sensor.

  If your sensor has been damaged, please contact our support and service team for a RMA and cost.
