I can't enumerate my camera due to an XML error
AnsweredWhenever I run SpinView, soon after startup I get a pop-up error saying that the device initialization failed, and that there was an "empty genicam XML path". How do I get this fixed?

XML errors can occur due to a number of different reasons; however, the solution is usually the same, which is clearing out the xml cache for the camera. To do so, in Windows explorer, navigate to the folder location C:\ProgramData\Spinnaker\XML, then delete all of the files found in this location (or at the very least, the files associated with the camera model/serial number of the camera not enumerating correctly). Once done, when SpinView runs again, the camera should enumerate properly.
One thing to note is that the "ProgramData" folder is considered hidden initially in Windows, unless you make it visible:
- Click View tab at the toolbar in File Explorer window.
- In Show/Hide section, tick Hidden items to show hidden files and folders in Windows 10.

Is there a way to clear the xml cache on linux?

Yes, the same method as before; the XML cache location on Ubuntu Linux is .config/spinnaker/xml.
