FLIR Blackfly S BFS-PGE-50S5M not connecting to spinview

FLIR Blackfly S BFS-PGE-50S5M connected with a USB network card / adapter. The camera is blinking three green blinks, which indicates persistent IP address. The camera does not show in SpinViewer. In the device manager it shows as "Realtek USB FE Family Controller". 

How can I solve this?

    The problem seems to have been caused by IT security settings. It works fine on a personal PC.

    Hello  Aksel, 

    The cameras are not tested with USB-GigE adapters and it is possible that the adapter is causing this issue. Does the camera work fine on a regular Ethernet controller? It doesn't have to be a Gigabit Ethernet controller for a simple test. 
    Do you know the camera's IP address? Are you able to ping it? 
    Could you please post the camera IP and the output of "ipconfig /all" here?

    I am new to this so I am not familiar with everything. I have been able to use my Macbook air, but the computer is slow and not working very well. I was able to connect to another computer and it is visible in SpinView there. But I do get a warning: "Your camera is capable of transmitting at a higher throughput than your adapter is currently configured to handle".

    Interface Recieve Link speed: 100 Mbps

    Camera Max Throughput: 1000 Mbps

    So in that case, I guess the adapter is causing poor transfer rates?

    Independent, I would still like to connect it to the other computer as well. The IP-adress stated in SpinView for the camera is 169.254.0.1. I will provide the "ipconfig/all" for the other computer later today :)

    Yes, you probably get the warning on the working PC because you connected the camera to a 100mbit network controller. The camera can be used on that but with a lower frame rate. 

    The IP configuration on the non-working PC looks fine. I still think that it doesn't work because of the USB to Ethernet adapter. Can you use a different PC with a gigabit controller or a free PCIe slot where you can use a gigabit controller? E.g. https://www.flir.eu/products/ethernet-network-interface-card/
