Alternative Spinnaker and documentation download for BlackFly S BFS-U3-16S2M

Hello,

Our IT department won't allow access to the https://flir.boxcn.net because they said it is hosted in China. Do you have alternative ways to download the Spinnaker SDK and documentation for BlackFly S BFS-U3-16S2M from an non-ITAR blocked country?

  Hello Raymond.  Where are you located?  The website should take you to box.com instead of boxcn.net based on your locale.  We will be changing to host locally soon.  In the meantime, if you find any boxcn.net links, you can use the same link by changing to box.com instead, for example, Spinnaker | Powered by Box.

  Documentation is best viewed in our online reference rather than downloading the pdf.  You can do the same URL change as above, but I recommend the online manuals on our resources page, such as Blackfly S USB3 Camera Resources | Teledyne FLIR.

  For the BFS-U3-16S2M, a direct link to the camera reference is http://softwareservices.flir.com/BFS-U3-16S2/latest/Model/Readme.html

  I'm in Nevada. I did try using the box.com domain and it is still being blocked by our network. I submitted a request if they can allow it and just waiting for their response. Thank you for the link to the documentation, that one works for me.

  So our IT department still hasn't responded to my request about unblocking the box.com domain. I did find this site https://meta.box.lenovo.com/v/link/view/a1995795ffba47dbbe45771477319cc3 that I can access and I wanted to confirm if it's safe to get the files from here?

  Hello Raymond,

  Yes, we do use lenovo box for our customers in China as they can not access box.  It is a valid URL for our files, and should be up to date with the latest versions of our software and firmware.

  If your IT gives you access to lenovo box, that is great!

  Hello Demos,

  I see. So I tried to download the files but it wants me to install a plugin with administrative privileges. I think I'll pass for now. If you can provide any other alternative download sites that I can try, it would much appreciated.

  Over the next month, our software will move off box and onto our flir.com site, so this should no longer be an issue.  If people have issues downloading our SDK in the future due to their IT restrictions, feel free to contact our support team to mail it to you directly by creating a ticket at http://flir.custhelp.com/app/ask.
