    Hello Angel,

We build for and test on Ubuntu, but any debian based OS should be able to work.

Debian 11 seems to be between Ubuntu 20.04 (focal) and 22.04 (jammy).  22.04 uses the new compression method.

Can you please try to download and install the 20.04 Ubuntu version of Spinnaker to see if it works on your debian 11 distribution?

    Thank you,

    Demos

    Hello Angel,

Which spinnaker and operating system version are you referring? We use .tar and .gz compression format.

Could you double check that the sdk is downloaded from our website:

    Thanks,

    Best regards

    Hello,

    Using Spinnaker 3.1.0.79 arm64 in a BeagleBoard AI64 with Debian 11.

Follow your instructions, " tar xvfz  ....tar.gz" + " cd spinnaker...." and " sudo sh install_spinn...."

At this point is the error:

" dpkg-deb: error: archive 'libgentl_3.1.0.79_arm64.deb' uses unknown compression for member 'control.tar.zst' giving up"

It appears that the .deb files inside the tar are compresed with zst?

    Best regards

    Hello Angel,

Did our 20.04 installation end up working on your Debian 11 installation?

    Thank you,
