Trouble powering Blackfly S Gige using GPIO
AnsweredI have a BFS-PGE-50S5-C and a 6-pin Hirose HR-10 connector. Based on the Blackfly S Installation Guide document, I connected 12V to green and ground to brown. The power supply is rated for 12V at 2A. Measuring the power supply with a multimeter reads 12.4V. The camera powers on, LEDs start blinking then settles on solid red (no blinking). Solid red isn't mentioned in the document.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi Nghia,
That could be a connection problem. Is the camera already connected to a NIC?

I've tried with and without connection to a NIC, same problem. Also tried on another identical camera. The camera works fine when I connect to a PoE switch. Can you confirm my wiring is correct with the 12V Power Supply with 6 Pin HR10 Connector (ACC-01-9011)?

Yes, the wiring is correct. What were the results when you tried with an identical camera? Do you have another GPIO cable to test?

I have 2 GPIO cables. Same identical results.

Good news. It's working now. It appears a solid red means a network connection has not been established. When I initially connected the camera to the Ethernet port and saw solid red I turned the camera off before it had a chance to establish a network link.
