What are the types/differences of binning methods available on my BFS camera?

I'm interested in the BFS-U3-51S5P, and I want to use binning on the camera. What does it support, and how do they differ?

  The BFS-U3-51S5P supports additive, average, and decimation binning.

  • Additive means adding the two pixel values together
  • Average means averaging the two pixel values
  • Decimation means dropping one of the two pixel values
