Where to find all Spinnaker Python example scripts
AnsweredI have installed the Spinnaker SDK (v4.0.0.116) on Ubuntu, and would like to have a look at the Python example scripts. I have checked the directory "/opt/spinnaker/src", but it only includes C++ examples.
I know about the example respository on Github, but it is incomplete (some of the files included even reference other files which don't exist). For example: I have seen references to "Acquire.py", "AcquisitionMultipleCamera.py" and "ChunkData.py", without finding these files anywhere.
Secondly, I have been getting segmentation faults while reading out two "Blackfly S GigE" cameras simultaneously, in continuous readout mode.

Hello Finn,
From your other forum posts, it seems you found the Python examples.
For others reference, when you download the PySpin package, the examples are found in that package. They will be found in the location that you extracted that package to, they are not installed into the spinnaker source code folder.
Thank you,
Demos

To find the official Spinnaker SDK installers and PySpin (Python for Spinnaker) packages, please register a free account to log into our website to download them: Spinnaker SDK | Teledyne FLIR.
To better configure GigE cameras in Linux, please follow the steps carefully in the README file included in the Spinnaker installer package (Linux), especially the Section "4. GIGE CAMERA SETUP".
If the issue occurs only when running multiple GigE cameras but not with running a single GigE camera, you may pay attention to the bandwidth allocation. For more details, please refer to the following knowledge base article: Setting up Multiple GigE Cameras with Spinnaker | Teledyne FLIR.
If you still experience issues, please initiate a support ticket at our website: Ask a Question (custhelp.com).

Hi Michael,
Thanks for the information! I have already registered and downloaded the said installers, however, I am unable to find the Python example scripts anywhere inside the installation directories.
Thanks for pointing out the README section, I actually already had a look at this and tried to run the provided "gev_nettweak" binary, this did not produce any output, is that to be expected? I will investigate further and open a support ticket in case it also occurs for a single camera.

Please note that the installation packages for Spinnaker SDK and Python for Spinnaker (PySpin) are two separate downloads. Please read the downloading page carefully to find the files needed.
