SightBase offers physics-based high fidelity rendering. Our goal is to have Virtual 3D Lab to replace physical setup using real camera, lens, lighting, in a real scene, and save time and cost for machine vision system designers. We are working actively to achieve high rendering fidelity and adding new features.
Please be aware that the LIVE PREVIEW in the Virtual 3D Lab is primarily designed to provide quick guidance for configuring component positions and validating field of view given your camera and lens choices.
The RENDER SIMULATION feature and its output images can assist you in making informed decisions on camera choices. You can expect that the field of view, sensor resolution, sensor response, sensor size, and sharpness are accurately represented by the rendering outputs.
The lens rendering shows its angle of view. If a lens and a camera are incompatible on optical format, we will notify you to prevent costly design issues. Some other lens characteristics will be incorporated in the upcoming release.
Please stay tuned on the product upgrades.
