Is there spinnaker SDK with python 3.12 Windows?
AnsweredHi.
I`m using 'Blackfly S BFS-U3-50S5C' and would apply camera to my windows python 3.12 system.
I saw download page like below, but there is only up to python 3.10.
(https://www.teledynevisionsolutions.com/support/support-center/software-firmware-downloads/iis/spinnaker-sdk-download/spinnaker-sdk--download-files/?pn=Spinnaker+SDK&vn=Spinnaker+SDK)
For the time being, I applied python 3.10 SDK on python 3.10 environment and I works. At this time, It works when I downgrade numpy from 2.1 to 1.23 and judge from this, It seems like to depend a lot on numpy version.
I tried to apply same SDK(.whl file) on 3.12 system, but It was not working(python 3.12 does not support numpy 1.23).
If anyone knows if there is a spinnaker SDK for windows in python 3.12, I would be very happy.
Thank you

Hello Jonghak,
Thank you for the question. Currently, as of Spinnaker 3.2, you are correct that we only support up to Python 3.10. We are working on 2 enhancements right now.
1. As of our next Spinnaker release (Spinnaker 3.3 or Spinnaker 4.1), our PySpin 3.10 will support the newer Numpy 2.X libraries.
2. Once we move to support Ubuntu 24.04, we will support the newer Python release as well. In the meantime, please make a support ticket at flir.custhelp.com/app/ask and we can look at building a custom Python 3.12 release for your OS.
Thank you,

I was curious if there was an update on when newer numpy libraries will be supported or support for Python 3.12?

Hi Jason,
We should be able to provide a PySpin version supporting numpy 2.x and Python 3.12. What operating system are you targeting?
Would you mind opening a support ticket at flir.custhelp.com/app/ask ?Thanks,
