How to guarantee GigE camera prioritization?

I am required to use my PC for multiple tasks/applications, and find that my camera drops frames unless I start closing apps. Is there a way to guarantee the camera is prioritized to maintain performance/ensure no frames are dropped?

  Assuming you are using a multi-core system, you can use the Adapter Config GUI to assign a single core to be used solely by the Network Interface Card the camera is connected to.  This ensures no other processes can take precedence over the camera.
