camera doesn't appear in SpinView

I just got a Chameleon3 and the camera isn't showing up in SpinView on my laptop.

  There are several reasons why this could be occurring:

  1. Check the LED on the back of the camera; if the camera's led isn't lighting up, that means it isn't receiving power, in which case, we would recommend changing cables, or introducing an alternate source of power, such as an externally powered hub, or gpio power supply.
  2. A bad cable/port is being used; try changing to a different cable (something less than 5 meters long would be preferable), and or a different port on the PC.
  3. If you are  using Ubuntu Linux, it may be a permissions issue; try running SpinView as sudo.  If this fixes the issue, the user should try re-installing Spinnaker, making sure to follow the steps mentioned in the installation to give Spinnaker/SpinView proper permissions.
  4. There is an issue with the camera itself, in which case we recommend sending it in for an RMA/repair.
