Do I need to buy a GigE host adapter?

I have a desktop PC, with an ethernet connection in-built; can't I use that to run one of your GigE cameras?

If that ethernet connection isn't being used to connect to the internet, and is capable of 1GigE throughput, then it could be used with our cameras, once configured properly through our software. It should be noted that we do not recommend sharing that ethernet connection with our cameras and the internet at the same time, through a switch.
