SpinView does not recognize my BFS GigE camera on Ubuntu 20.04
AnsweredI recently started using a Blackfly GigE camera along with ubuntu 20.04.
I installed spinnaked sdk and completed the steps in the readme file.
However, when I open spinview the camera isn't recognised.
I can ping the camera and using a listener I see that there's a discovery command issued from spinview but nothing is happening.

There are a few reasons on why this may be occurring:
- There may be a permissions issue causing the camera to not appear in SpinView. Try running SpinView as sudo; if the camera does appear, it means that there was an issue with the installation of Spinnaker, in which case you may want to consider re-installing spinnaker to get it so that you don't need to run sudo everytime you run the application.
- There may be an issue where the ip address on the camera isn't properly being aligned with the host adapter on the PC. One way of getting around this is to double check the ip address/subnet mask on the host adapter connected to the camera, then update the persistent ip on the camera to match these values, using SpinView on a Windows pc (in SpinView, right click on the camera and select "GigE Configuration-> IP Configuration".
- If neither of these work, I would double check to make sure you did indeed follow all of the steps mentioned in the README, going through the installation process once more, to make sure everything was done properly.
