My camera specs page says "Operating Temperature 0° to 50°C". What temperature does it refer to?

The operating temperature stated in the specification of the Teledyne FLIR machine vision cameras refers to ambient operating temperature.
The internal camera temperature which can be read via software can read the temperature of the sensor and fpga junction temperature, depending on the camera family. Internal temperature typically runs 10-15 degrees hotter than ambient, assuming a metal lens and camera mount to a chassis.
