  This can occur for multiple reasons:

  • the camera is not getting sufficient power.  This can occur if you are relying on the power provided through the usb connection, and connecting the camera to a laptop, for example.
  • there is an issue with the physical connection, an issue with the usb cable, for example; swapping cables would resolve this issue.
  • Cable length issue; try running a cable 1 or 3 meter cable, connecting the camera directly to the PC.  Total cable length (from camera to PC) should not exceed 5 meters.
