    The camera will not be damaged by running at a colder than spec temperature.  However, if there is condensation, the camera could be damaged trying to power it up due to the thin pitch of the components.

    Regarding temperature, the most common issue if the camera is too cold is the camera having a problem booting.  This could show as no LED/camera, or the LED coming up but the camera not enumerating.

    In general, cold temperature will not damage the camera, but rather causing it to have issues booting up until the camera temperature is within a reasonable range.
